Bristan mixer showers cartridge - Just the job

Reviewed 12 years ago by Mr C Waterhouse
A quick cure for dripping showers ! That's the usual fault, anyway - just won't fully turn off. Pull off the control knobs, undo the two screws holding the limit plate and then grip the exposed splines VERY tightly (mole grips or similar), brace yourself against the back wall and pull mightily. If it pops out, you're in luck - otherwise you just need more leverage. When it's out, grease up the new one (grease helpfully supplied in the package, thank you) and slip it deftly back into the gaping hole whence the failed unit came. Replace the limit plate, calibrate it's rotational alignment (so that it will now turn both fully off and fully on), set the temperature control limit so that the showerees are not scalded and voila, fully repaired.

Oh, and full marks to "The Shower Doctor" for keeping these in stock at all times and shipping them to the right address, right on time, every time. Many thanks, SD Team !
