I have now replaced both the hot and cold valves for a basin mixer tap. The original valves had lasted about 7 years, and failed within a few months of each other. The replacements worked fine to start with. They both lasted about 3 years before needing re-replacement. A bit disappointed, but went ahead and bought new parts. The cold one lasted about 9 months this time, which I thought was unacceptable. However, to their credit, Shower Doctor have just offered me a free replacement.
