Gainsborough Energy 2000X

We've recently moved into a house which has one of these showers and I'm trying to establish the wattage. (It seems 9.5kw and 10.8kw models were available). I removed the front cover but can't find any signs of a rating plate / label. Could you please advise how to find the rating because I need to check that the supply cable is correct.

It came with differentratings there should be a plastic sticker on the underside of the coverand/or inside the unit, also it is stamped into the top of the heatingcan although this may be difficult to see.

If your existing shower was installed with 6mm wiring (as it should have been) then fitting another shower (even up to one of the 10kw units) to the existing wiring should be no problem, depending on the length of the run off cable and how the cable is installed.

Here is a table that allows you to work out what you can do with the existing wiring, make sure you fill it in accurately as this can make a large difference to the eventual calculation.

You may also have to change the fuse

Up to 8.5kw  35 Amp fuse

Up to 9.5kw  40 Amp Fuse

Up to 10.5kw 45 Amp Fuse
