gainsborough energy 2000x not heating water

We have a gainsborough energy 2000x which not heating the water at all, no heat on any setting. I noticed the flow rate is quite a lot faster than normal, the flow rate does not change when you move the temperature and flow rate controls through the settings. Does this indicate a problem with the flow control value, would this cause the unit not heat the water.

We have a softener installed, so there should be little to no scale within the system.

What would be the recommend part to replace?

Thanks in advance.

Forgetting about the temperature turn the showerfrom fully hot to fully cold at fully hot you should have not much more than adribble coming from the hose and on fully cold you should have a good strongflow, if you do not have this difference then you may have a faultyflow/stabilizer valve.
