Gainsborough Energy2000X- Not heating water as good as it used to.

I have a 2000X shower - installed about 1997 and worked very well till last month. Now water starts up hot for about 0.5min then runs very cool (but warmer than cold supply!). Flowrate is 6 litre/min. I tested the elements with a multimeter (as per answer to similar question) and got resistance reading 3-5 ohms on each element (but I'm no expert with the meter). I also recently fitted a new shower hose and sprayhead. Any ideas?

A reading of 3 to 5 ohms indicates a problem with the heating elements so would recommend replacing the heating can, the appropriate wattage unit can be ordered online via the link below.
