It's a nightmare to fit, but well worth it.

OK, once I eventually got this kit fitted I was over the moon. The shower is far better than it was when it was new. The downside is that fitting the kit is a bit of a 'mare. There is one seal, the main one that everyone talks about, that simply doesn't fit into its groove. It really doesn't, despite what the geezer says in the video. How on earth he shoved it in there with his thumbnail I have no idea. Eventually I got it in there by taking the shaft of a long screwdriver, holding it horizontally, pushing down on the seal into the face of the valve, and using sheer brute force, I rammed the seal down into the groove. Took me the best part of 45 minutes to manage this. It's a total nightmare. Once it's fitted, though, with plenty of the supplied silicone grease on all the seals and screw threads, the shower valve is incredible. Smooth as silk. I'm absolutely delighted with the result. So in summary, it's a complete and utter nightmare to fit that one seal, but when (if) you manage it, the shower is far better than it was out of the factory.
