Seized up shower back in working order

Had a shower thats been out of action for over a year - completey seized up. So bad it stripped the threads that were left on a worn plastic dial. 14 year old shower. New dial fitted and service kit applied. Shower now back to working order. Only alternative would have been to replace the shower so saved myself a few hundred pounds...happy days....
