Shower stopped working No Pressure!!

My shower stopped working, with only the No Pressure light showing. I suspected it to be the Solenoid after testing the water pressure around my home. The Shower doctor website confirmed my suspicions with there useful information and solenoid checking technique. I ordered a solenoid from the shower doctor website and it arrived two days after. Thankyou, for the help youtube video, showing how to test and fit the solenoid. After doing this my shower works just like a new shower with its correct pressure. thanks for your assistance.

Suffered a problem of no water out of my power shower, although pump motor running. Checked final valve solenoid which apeared open circuit. On advice from a very helpful chap at Showerdoc ordered a replacement solenoid without valve. Was promptly delivered, very easy to replace and it did the trick. Excellent.;

This was happening intermittently then failed completely yesterday.
Ordered 4pm, arrived next day with post, fitted in 10mins and all fixed. Both the advise via previous questions/answers and delivery speed of the Shower Doctor is excellent.

The water from the shower kept stopping after a few minutes and the same fault had occurred before so i went on google and found Shower Doctor,and on reading the fault reports page I realised my fault was a very common problem.After watching the helpful video on how to change just the solenoid coil I ordered one from Shower Doctor ,it arrived two days later and within half an hour the fault was fixed....absolutely brilliant!....and all for £9 plus postage.

I purchased this coil for my shower. according to all the info, you have to buy the complete valve assembly for the newer model Mira but that isnt true. You can replace just the coil as long as youve got the right torx screwdriver to dissassemble the thing. coil was a direct replacement, straight forward job.

Sorted out my problem. No need for Triton to insist on supplying me with only the whole Solenoid Value Unit at near £40. Fine if that's what you need but the guys here will only advise you to get the part you need. Such a refreshing change to not be ripped off.

My Triton Opal shower was cutting out, with a 'pressure low' warning light. I'm so pleased I found Showerdoc on the internet. In the forum someone had had exactly the same problem and a new solenoid was needed.
I tested the old solenoid with a meter and sure enough it was not working.
It took a few minutes to disengage the old solenoid from the tube it was held onto, because there is a little plastic lip at the edge of the tube, so I had to tug it a few times, and even phoned showerdoc to make sure that doing so would not damage anything. However, after a few minutes it came loose and a few minutes later the new solenoid was fitted and the shower was working again.
My shower has worked perfectly since then, saving me perhaps a few hundred pounds on the purchase and fitting of a new shower, which, not knowing any better, I would have done if not for showerdoc.
Showerdoc addition:
Its always worth checking for leaks from the stabiliser valve above before fitting a new solenoid coil or solenoid valve assembly. If there is a leak this could be the cause for the original coil becoming faulty. ( water staines on the coil bar is a good indication )

My old shower stopped working as its solenoid had failed. (Checked this by testing resistance across solenoid contacts - after turning off power supply! - and finding that it was open circuit.) The replacement was good value, arrived very quickly and was easy to install - simply removed leads from old one, pulled it out, pushed on new one and replaced the leads. After re-fitting shower cover and tuning power back on, it worked perfectly.

I had an issue with my electric shower where by the shower would stop after about 5 mins.
After searching on google for the problem, I came across this site which had a helpful video on how to replace the part.
I'm no handyman but it seemed simple enough.
After about 10 mins the part was fitted and now my shower is fixed, without having to call someone out to repair.
Excellent, recommended and very fast delivery.
