Hydroplast sink cartridge

I have a bidet and since 2007 i have had to replace this cartridge on 3 occassions. However the sink and bath use the same cartridge and have not been replaced. Cant understand why they should be different. I have also followed specialist advice that the cartridge can be cleaned by immersion in descaler/vinegar but as of yet this has not been successful. Can these cartridges be refurbished as i have 2 doing nothing at present?
