Mira 8 on a combi boiler

I have a combi boiler and a Mira 8 shower, in an answer to another question you said that PRV'S need to be fitted to the pipes to control the pressure, to clarify do you mean fit one to both the hot and cold water feed pipes that feed the Mira 8, also when fitted what pressure should they be set at ?, thank you for your help with this.

The Mira 8 is not suitable for a combi boiler....full stop!....However .....

By fitting pressure reducing valves on the inlets you can reduce the pressure to something like what the valve is able to cope with (Between ½ a bar and 1bar) but frankly the money would be better spent on buying a new valve designed for a combi.

The one option I always think is worth a try, is to fit a service kit to the valve, if the water pressure is not to high and the pressure differential between the hot and cold is not to great then the Mira 8 may work, if it doesn’t then all you have lost is the price of a seal kit.
