Mira Sprint Leaking

My Sprint 8.5 has the code J95J on the label, and the word Temperature on the front casing. It is dripping when switched off and the leak appears to be from either the flow control valve or the joint between the FCV and the tank. Do the o rings fail, or is it more likely the FCV at fault - I can't see any cracks in its body. If it is the FCV, do I need the additional parts? Finally, going off the age of the shower (7 yrs) does it make more sense just to buy a new unit?

Replacing the flow valve may solve this problem , and it is cheaper than a new shower.
