Only needed a spare part for my shower as original piece broke. Excellent service, great communication and next day delivery. Post and packaging charge was a little excessive for such a small and light part. Have used shower doctor in the past and will do again.

Because of the way our bathroom is designed we have to over reach to turn the shower on. We constantly break the control knob so I always have a couple spare in the cabinet. It's easy to fit and is a lot more cost effective than replacing the whole shower. Delivery is quick too.

The service from Shower Doc is very good. However, I don't think the product is particularly high quality. I've had several of these replacement on/ off knobs and they all last only for a few months before disintegrating.

That can be down to the way the new knob is fitted.
When replaceing a broken knob:
Make sure you remove the cover and attach the new knob, pushing the new knob on whilst the cover is still attached breaks the back of the knob and it doesnt last very long.

This is the third time I've had to replace this knob since the shower was new. Each time the same fault, one or two of the plastic locating prongs has snapped off and therefore the spindle won't turn to the off position anymore.
The replacement knob should be made stronger (or much cheaper!!!) as it's obviously a design flaw.
The showerdoc reply,
Unfortunately the manufacturer dont make a more robust control knob for that shower. They say you need to be gentle when switching the control knob off and do not force it.
When fitting the knob please remove the cover and push the knob on to the cover, failing to do so will cause the fins to be pushed out on the rear of the knob and crack them. This causes the knob to break after several time of use.

The relacements I purchased were absolutely the correct model. One I have fitted with no problems whiel the other is retained as a spare. What impressed most was the service with just 36 hours between placing the order and delivery to my door. Well done.
