A: The shower head I take it is fixed to the wall? The head may be too high for your pump to recognize it and so to switch on. You could get round this by starting off with the hand held then switching to the fixed head.

A: Thereneeds to be a little water flow through the pump to get it to start, I thinkyou may have a problem with “head” of water.
Thetop of the shower head depending on the situation will need to be approximately500mm below the base of the cold water tank, the “head” can be as little as250mm however this will depend on the type of shower valve and the way it ispiped.
Thesolution would be a negative head pump, or there is a push button kit that willconvert your existing pump.
