Meynell Safemix V8/3 Exp/rec Thermostatic Mixing Valve

The Easy identifier is the inlet elbows, the V8 elbows are rounded and the V6 are more square also if you look carefully you will see that the concealing plates are slightly different.

The heads can be difficult to remove in the first instance try pouring a few kettles of boiling water over the head this may expand it just enough to help release it from the spindle.

Our engineers have occasionally have had to cut the head of with a hacksaw and replace the head

It is either a 2mm or 2.5mm key..........

One of our engineers recons it is 3mm or 3.5mm

Unfortunately we do not have one in stock at the moment to check.

Sorry not to be too much help however you will know roughly the size you need to go for.

A strip down clean lube and fitting a new seal kit will probably solve the problem.

It is probably just the pistion sticking inside the valve in the first instance I would give it a strip down clean lube and fit a service kit.

I would suggest a strip down clean lube and fit a seal kit.
