Q: The motor stopped working on my Myra Event and for the past week or so the shower has been a very weak non-power shower.
Following advice on here I have just replaced the brushes, and the motor is back up and running.
However, not a drop of water is coming through now. Can I have put it back together wrong? Something else gone kaput?
(Yes I have turned the stopcocks back on)
Thanks

A: My first thoughtswould be an air lock, or have you dislodged one of the wires that go to thesolenoid valve, or has just by coincidence has the solenoid valve failed? See below for how to check the solenoid valve. It may be your solenoid valve, you can check it if you havea multi meter, you should have a reading of at least k3.5 ohms, across the twoterminals any less and you need a new valve. (Check the valve in the failedstate.) (When it has stopped working!) If there is power getting to the solenoid and it is notoperating then there is a good chance that you have a faulty solenoid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzJjzWqxesc The videois intended as a guide and does not cover every shower. If you don’t have a multimeter we sell them with a guide on how to use them for checkingand testing the various parts of your shower. Apart from helping to fix your shower, they are reallyuseful for checking you have a power supply to appliances, for checking fusesand letting you know much power you have left in batteries (So you will know if they are good or not) and lots of otherjobs, in short they are well worth a few pounds http://www.showerdoc.com/installation/electrical-products/SKYTRO-600-005-Digital-Multi-Tester Answered 220 days ago | The Doc

Q: Hi, Are these brushes compatible with a New Team 1000-xt shower bought in 2003? Thanks

A: Unfortunately these brushes are not compatible with your shower, we have a source for these brushes unfortunately they are coming from outside the UK, inevitably arranging payment and shipping terms is taking longer than expected, for the last few weeks now it has always going to be next week. If you can hang on we will be bringing them into stock just keep your eye on the web site. If you can’t wait then the new 1000xt is still available here http://www.shower-warehouse.com/showers/power-showers/bristan Answered 226 days ago | The doc

A: The brushesfor your shower unit can be found at the bottom of the spares list via thislink provided to the diagram - http://www.showerdoc.com/shower-spares/triton/TRITO-PARENT-18-Triton-T90i
The brushes on some models of shower units can be fitted with the motor in placehowever it really depends on how much movement you have, you don’t want to pushthe motor too far over in case you dislodge a seal causing leak or breakinganything attached to it. On this model it will be easier to remove the motor to fit the new brushesrather than trying to do them in situe. Before removing the motor remember toisolate the water and electricity and take photos so you know where all theparts went before removing them.

A: At 3.66 ohms the solenoid should be OK so that would point to the motor brushes. Unless the solenoid drops below the 3.66 after the shower has be switched on for a few minuets Answered 347 days ago | The Doc
