Is it connected to a combi boiler? ....It shouldn’t be.

 

Is the supply pipe work connected the correct way round?

 

Have you checked that the filters are clean and clear?

A: This plate is part of the front cover there fore to fix the plate you will need a front cover assembly.

It may be your solenoid valve, you can check it if you have a multi meter, you should have a reading of at least k3.5 ohms, across the two terminals any less and you need a new valve. (Check the valve in the failed state.) (When it is not working!)

 

If there is power getting to the solenoid and it is not operating then there is a good chance that you have a faulty solenoid.

 

If you don’t have a multimeter  we sell them  with a guide on how to use them for checking and testing the various parts of your shower.

 

Apart from helping to fix your shower, they are really useful for checking you have a power supply to appliances, for checking fuses and letting you know much power you have left in batteries

(So you will know if they are good or not) and lots of other jobs, in short they are well worth a few pounds

If there is hot water getting to the shower then you either have a faulty thermostatic valve or one of the filters is blocked.

 

So the first thing to do is strip out the filters and make sure that they are cleam.

A: Definitely not the power shower can only be connected to a cold water storage tank and a hot water cylinder. It is also illegal to connecxt a pumped shower to the rising main.

A: Very definately not, Any power shower has to be fed from a cold water storage tank and a hot water cylinder , it is illegal to connect a pumped shower to the mains supply.

A: You have to remove the temperature control knob. Prise of the cap on the knob and you will find a retaining screw. Remember to put it back in the same position.

A: 

It would be unusual but not impossible for the pump to be faulty.

 

Could the pump be drawing in air and what you are hearing is ait getting in to the pump?

 

If it is not air and you are convinced that it is the motor that is at fault then give Triton a ring and they will send out an engineer.

A: With the shower on check that the actuator on top of the stabiliser valve is activating the small button switch on the bottom of the printed circuit board, if not then a new stabiliser valve is required.
If the switch is activated then it is the pcb at fault.

 Sounds like a failed solenoid valve.

 

The unit will be under guarantee give Triton a ring and the will send out an engineer to repair or replace.

Yes there should have been blanking plugs, when the shower comes from the manufacturer there two blanking plugs in the in the top connections, if you decide to use the top connections your supposed to remove them and slip them into the bottom connections

A: Yes there should be blanking plugs in the unused inlet connections, if they are missing they can be ordered online by clicking on the link below. Unfortunately a seal kit is not available for this unit.
