Triton T550i double impellor pump

Firstcheck the inlet filters on the pump if they are OK then it may be a faultyimpellor or the motor brushes are starting to fail, in any case this pump isvery difficult to work on in my opinion you are probably better just replacingthe pump.

These are a Bristan part that will fit. Triton do not sell these as a separate part.

Triton now basically regard this as a sealed unit  so they don’t do any spares other than the external components.

So it is really a replacement unit you will need.

These pumps are good value for money pumps with a normal life span of around 5>6 years. (2 years to 12 years is not unheard of)

They can be repaired and we have the parts, however they are difficult to work on and by the time you pay for the parts it starts to become uneconomic when you can buy a new pump fit it in less than an hour and you have a new guarantee.
