Q: Since installing a combi boiler and converting the water supply in the house to use mains water directly the Show has stopped working. I have power and all the lights come including the pull cord but no water is running through the systems.

A: The shower should have been on the mains before the combiwas fitted so I don’t think that is the problem. It may be your solenoid valve, you can check it if you havea multi meter, you should have a reading of at least k3.5 ohms, across the twoterminals any less and you need a new valve. (Check the valve in the failedstate.) (When it has stopped working!) If there is power getting to the solenoid and it is notoperating then there is a good chance that you have a faulty solenoid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzJjzWqxesc The videois intended as a guide and does not cover every shower. If you don’t have a multimeter we sell them with a guide on how to use them for checkingand testing the various parts of your shower. Apart from helping to fix your shower, they are reallyuseful for checking you have a power supply to appliances, for checking fusesand letting you know much power you have left in batteries (So you will know if they are good or not) and lots of otherjobs, in short they are well worth a few pounds http://www.showerdoc.com/installation/electrical-products/SKYTRO-600-005-Digital-Multi-Tester Answered 132 days ago | The doc

A: Yes but this should be regarded as a very short term measure as it will cause other internal components to wear out prematurely Answered 363 days ago | The Doc

A: It could be one of two things it may be your solenoid valve, you can check it if you have a multi meter, you should have a reading of at least k3.5 ohms, across the two terminals any less and you need a new valve. (Check the valve in the failed state.) (When it is not working!) If there is power getting to the solenoid and it is not operating then there is a good chance that you have a faulty solenoid. If you don’t have a multimeter we sell them with a guide on how to use them for checking and testing the various parts of your shower. Q: Hi I have checked out the 9.5kw can assembly on my 11/2 year old triton trance shower, one element is giving a reading while the other is not, and like some previous questions it is now running a lot colder. Before I purchase a new can assembly is this an easy job to replace. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance Adrian.

A: The replacement is fairly straight forward.
Turn of the water and power you then have to dismantle most of the inside of the shower to get enough space to slip the old part out and the new part in. This sounds more difficult than it actually is, however you do have to be methodical noting where screws/nuts etc. come from and what goes where and it is always a good idea to take photos as you go because you can refer to them when you are rebuilding. This is very early for a tank to become faulty so........... Just as a bit of an afterthought make sure that none of the micro switches are sticking in the on position which is keeping one of the elements energised all the time which would cause it to become faulty. Q: When the shower was turned on the RCD tripped. We re-set the RCD and the shower would ownly run at tepid. I have cleaned the filter and now have hot water but only at No15 on the dial and even that is not as hot as it has been. We have had no problems with the shower, which is about 3yrs old, up until now. Can you help please before I order millions of parts that I might not need

A: It may be a faulty element in the heating tank (there are two, three in most 10kw showers) you can check them with a multi meter you should have a reading of around 12>18 ohms. If you have power to the elements and no heat it's probably the elements, no power to the elements then it's probably a micro switch. If you don’t have a multimeter we sell them at £10 each with a guide on how to use them for checking and testing the various parts of your shower. Q: Whilst using the shower there was a power problem and the RCD tripped turning off the shower. When it was re-set the shower is now lacking any power except at very low temperature. Any suggestions as to how it can be repaired; or does it need replacing?

Q: Once switched on, 3 conditions usually happen...
1) Gradually builds up to warm/hot temperature (never really hot), seems to be working okay, decent water pressure, as i increase temperature pressure decreases.
2) Outputs cold water at a lower pressure and remains cold for 2-5 minutes then suddenly bursts into life and becomes hot.
3) Hardly any pressure at all and after a period of time then switches to either condition 1 or 2.
If condition (1) does happen after a period of time the shower then loses pressure and goes cold and after "x" amount of time pressure boosts instantly and reverts to extreme hot temperature then back to normal hot.
I have read other posts and i intende to check both mains and shower wate valves are fully open.
Any other help would be appreciated
Thanks

A: The first things to check are: 1 That the main valve coming into your house is fully open. 2 Then check that the valve on the line to the shower is fully open. If these valves are not fully open then there may not be enough water getting to your shower to open the pressure switch therefore no power will get to the elements and the unit will show low pressure. It could also be a faulty element in the heating tank (there are two, three in most 10kw showers) you can check them with a multi meter you should have a reading of around 12>18 ohms. Q: Hi
Is it fairly easy to change the pressure release valve on the Triton Trance? It seems to blow every 18months even though the pressure is quite low even making the pressure light come on.
Thanks
