replacing shower force1500 xt solenoid.

bought solenoid and broke the plastic bit it attaches to while romoving old one, bought the combination of solenoid and plastic bit and have been unable to remove the metal clip holding the rubber hose on under the plastic piece, I also fear there is not enough room in the box to uncouple the solenoid and the plastic bit attched...help

The metal clips are removed by using a flat screw driver to lift the "tail" over the pin on the body. Once removed , you can replace them with the same metal clips or clamp clips as shown in the middle of this picture,
