Q: I turned on my electric shower this morning and i noticed that water was only trickling out of the head, i inspected further and found that the water was leaking from behind the shower unit itself. I checked to ensure the hose was tightly fastened and it was, the water is leaking from somewhere in the middle behind the unit. How can i fix this? Is it dangerous?

A: This may be leaking from the pressure relief device which is at the rear of the outlet pipe. Switch of the power remove the cover have a look and see. Answered 435 days ago | The Doc

Q: I have a gainsborough 9.5E and it has been working fine for over a year but just recently it 'clicks' and runs cold for no apparent reason, then after about 30 secs it heats back up again, then after about 30 secs it 'clicks' and runs cold again and continues with this action. Could you please tell me what the problem may be and if there is a way to cure this?
Many thanks

A: The colder the incoming water temperature the cooler the shower, however if the shower is un acceptably cold then you may have a faulty element, as it is only 3 months old I would get back in touch with Gainsborough. Answered 528 days ago | The Doc

Q: Will I be able to replace my 9.5s electric shower with a Gainsborough 9.5 se electric shower without altering the existing cables and water pipe? Is the 9.5 se the best replacement for a 9.5s shower?

A: You should always fit the shower head that is supplied with Gainsborough showers as the manufacturer sates.
Fitting another shower head not supplied with the shower can cause back pressure and will cause the PRD outlet pipe to activate and water to run out of the bottom of the shower. This part will then need to be replaced. Stick with the shower head supplied or it will start getting costly replacing the PRD outlet pipes again and again. Answered 644 days ago | SD

Q: I have the above electric shower for the past 5years. I switched it on today and noticed that the water was running but the water is not heating up. I open up the cover to see if there are any loose wire but found none. I also checked the switch and it was on. Do you have any idea what the problem is?
