water was coming out of overflow

i have no idea about showers what so ever. i dont know how to change a plug. read the forums on here and most of them said if the water is coming out of overflow then its the PRD so thats what i bought. Looked at the diagram on here to where it is and within 10 minutes i had fixed my shower. we were looking at buying new aswel, so thank you
