This question is regarding Aqualisa Aquarian Thermostatic Cartridge (Black/Red) - 214004

completely knackered unit as above

Hi can you tell me if i have to replace this cartridge with the same model or can i use a cheaper mixer ,the supply to this shower is a Jetforce Booster pump J.F 75 SUPPLYING 2 SHOWERS but only the one in en-suite is broken , i noteice i can buy a thermostatic mixer for about £30-£50 but am not sure it will work ,maybe to high a pressure? any advice would be great ,these cartridges are expensive and don,t last long ,many thanks J eff Mort

You can use a cheaper mixer no problem however the difficulty may be getting in to the existing pipe work to fit the new connections the connections for a bar mixer have to be made inside the wall.


If you look at part 10 on this link the smaller end sits inside the wall and the larger part is out on the surface.
