This question is regarding Aqualisa Aquarian Thermostatic Cartridge (Black/Red) - 214004

Hydomax shower

I have recently moved to a flat with a hydro max shower. When I turn on the mains water supply both hot and cold the system makes a loud streaking noise and the shower itself leaks at the bottom of the main unit not the shower head .Does this mean it needs a new cartridge?

Yes it sounds like the cartridge and gasket are faulty. A new cartridge may be needed.
