Aqualisa Aquarian pre 1999 replacement

Is the current Aqualisa Aquarian shower a direct replacement for the pre 1999 version? I need to replace the cartridge and ideally would also like to replace control knobs and shroud. As the latter two items are impossible to source now I wonder if it is simpler to replace the whole shower? Will the current version fit easily in place of the pre 1999? Are the screws on the backplates in the same place etc? Many thanks.
