Correct replacement cartridge?

The cartridge on my Aqualisa E96 model is leaking and will therefore need to be replaced. The number stamped on the centre body is T5229 - it's the original cartridge for the shower as installed in 1999 and I assume "T" stands for thermostatic. Would this therefore correspond to part no 164310? (Two photos of present cartridge attached,.) PS A neighbour has suggested I could try fitting the cheaper manual version but I'm not sure this is a good idea. Any thoughts on that?
