Replacing Aqualisa Aquastream Hose and shower head

I live in a rented property and want to replace the shower hose and shower head.. The problem is the unit is so close to the shower door I cannot get to it sufficiently to remove the existing hose.. Which means I will have to remove the front of the unit , I am looking for some guidance into how I go about this .

There is no need to remove the front cover in order to remove the hose. The hose unscrews downward. But if you want the cover off, you need to pull the centre knob off and unscrew the screws on the temperature handle. There is one other screw at the top of the cover to be removed .
