Aqualisa Aquastream - power assist has stopped working

My Mk2 Aquastream shower (fitted in 1999) no longer delivers its power shower experience, the water flows through it fine and is heated to match the temperature selected by the front knob, but the pump is no longer activated. The shower performed as it should up to this moment (last week), so there was no prior signs of degradation or wear. I am guessing that the thermostatic loom assembly has failed (shorted?), in which case I'll also need to check and see if there's a leak inside which caused it. Is this the more likely culprit rather than the pump itself? Please advise on the best sequence to begin replacing parts in order to fix. Thanks.

You are right, check the loom first , and see if a leaking cartridge is the cause of its failure.
If not , just replace the loom.
