Leaking from base even when off.

Just this morning our very old (!) shower is leaking quite a lot of hot water from the base even when it's turned off. It's been a few hours now and it's down to a constant drip - is it likely to be the cartridge? What should we be looking for inside the case?

Yes it is most likely to be the cartridge.

The only thing to look out for is that the leak may have been dripping on to the switches on the loom and shorted them out.

However you won't be able to check this until the cartridge is replaced.
