Aquastream pumped shower

My aqua stream pumped shower won't turn off the water I took off the front dial and turned off the water with a vice grip on the central shaft that fits onto the the dial by turning anti-clockwise is there something gone inside this unit

It sounds like the mechanism inside the cartridge that controls the flow and temperature has either failed or snapped. You will need to replace (item 6) the cartridge form the spares list.
