My shower is noisy when turned up to the power stage, is ok on low

The shower has been installed and working well for a number of years but now when you turn the speed up it makes a loud noise more vibration than screeching. The shower still works, but I am worried that the pump is on its way out. What could the issue be?

From the description it does sound like the pump/motor is the problem.

The only other reason for this is a lack of water to the pump.
