power to the shower

My shower has no water pressure. I understand I need to check the power - how do i do this?? if there is power I assume it is a faulty pump?

This is not so easy if you have no experience.

However first you need to check that there is power getting to the unit, then when it is switched on that there is power getting to the motor and pump unit.
If there is power at the motor and pump unit and it is not running then it is most likely that the motor and pump unit is faulty.

The other most likely reasons for it not working is a faulty transformer if it has one or faulty switches in the halter of the wiring loom.
If you are not sure how to check that the shower has power going to it then you need to call in a professional as you may be working with live wires ……..and that can damage your health.
