Pump cutting out

The shower works initially at full power and then the pump cuts out. Can turn to mid point which gets you partial power. IS it the cartridge and loom that would need replacing?

Difficult to understand why it should start OK then loose power.

My first thought is the transformer is starting to fail, so it is OK at start and when it heats up it Fails the transformer is a two stage thing 12v then a further 6v.

As the transformer is a fairly expensive item you rally need to get to the connections with a multi meter to check that you are getting the correct output.

It may not be this but that needs to be checked first.

The other thing to look for is the cartridge leaking and dripping down on to the switches on the loom just below the cartridge this could be shorting the switches out.
