pump doesn't turn off

Had the old model and the pump wouldn't turn off one day. Found there was a leak but instead of messing around replacing parts, I bought a new one.

fitted fine last night but it was 11pm and so I just turned it on. Didn't realise that the pump needed to be primed! Now have exactly the same problem with screeching pump when the shower is off. Obviously don't want to be another new unit so which bit will need replacing? Pump or cartridge?

A screeching pump means that there is no water to the shower.

Maybe you should check that the water is turned on.
