aqualisa aquastyle 8.5 PRD

Hello, I have a customer with an aqualisa aquastyle 8.5kw electric shower, works fine except that there is water leaking from the LHS ofthe shower via a clear/white plastic tube which I guess contains a pressure relief device?

Any ideas what the fault may be, the customer has fitted a longer hose, but this has been in use for a while with no problem. Incidentally the front cover of this shower is different to the one shown in your diagram, looks more like a Gainsborough, with the large single rotary control in the centre.

Thanks for help.

Yes this is a rebadged Gainsborough.

I am not sure if I have the correct link http://www.showerdoc.com/aqual-parent-26-aqualisa-aquastyle-electric-shower ?

The prd on this unit is part 7 http://www.showerdoc.com/AQUAL-219120-Aqualisa-Pressure-Relief-Device-8-5kw-219120 when this is activated it pushes out of the bottom of the tank and leaks around the hose connection area,

But I can’t think of a white plastic tube?

A longer hose could cause it to activate, because it can cause more back pressure in the heating tank.
