Shower pressure

I recently bought and fitted a new cartridge plus 'o' ring. I fitted the pink cartridge to replace grey as it was leaking and my daughter had a combi boiler fitted. Everything went well with the fitting however the pressure of the shower decreased. Any suggestions.

The grey cartridge can handle highish pressures and although a pink one is recommended for combi`s a grey may do the job better.
Also the flow regulator may be the wrong one for the system.

Can you explain about the flow regulator please ?

If the valve is being installed for use with a gas fired instantaneous (multipoint) water heater or a
combination boiler, a flow regulator should be fitted to the hot water inlet. The inlet flow regulators are
supplied as part of the system components and should be fitted to suit the relevant appliance as listed
below:
YELLOW
= 24kW (80,000Btu)
GREEN
= 28kW (100,000Btu)
BLUE
= 35+kW (120,000+Btu)

Thanks for info I left the yellow flow regulator in but think the boiler may be 30 or 35 KW so I poss need to change it. I have the original flow regulator from the replaced cartridge which is plain white conical make but of the same radius to fit the rear of the cartridge do you think if I replaced this it would return to the same pressure as before?

Barrie is not in at the moment however he is correct the grey cartridge will have a higher flow rate however the pink cartridge is designed to work with a combi which has a slightly lower flow rate ........

Try opening two taps fully leave them running for about a minute you will find that the temperature drops off this is what can happen with a grey cartridge, the flow can be so high the boiler cant keep up.
