Are plastic threads BSP

Hello, I have a question about an Aqualisa Aquavalve 609 Thermostatic concealed valve shower Elbow Assembly Pair Part number AQUAL-213023. I'm working in a 15 year old house with a failing shower that has no water isolation and no access at all to the water pipes without removing tiles/cutting out a floor etc. I need to turn off the house mains water supply to work on this shower so if anything goes wrong like a cracked valve body the house water supplies can't be reinstated. If I remove the cracked valve body leaving the plastic elbows on the copper pipes can I fit conventional BSP fittings to the plastic parts to temporarily seal things up i.e. are the plastic threads BSP? Regards, David Perrott.

Aqualisa fittings have their own threading which I believe is not standard, but you should check this with Aqualisa.
