sticking switch

i have replaced the loom twice now, however it seems that the little white plastic switch keeps getting stuck when switching off. If i tap on the outer case it then switches off any ideas?

The problems with these 'usually' come from the cartridge tripping a little water down on to the switches and shorting them out.it is not always obvious because the heat dries the water up , but you can usually see residue.
