Aqualisa lack of water pressure and temp fail.

I believe our shower is a Gainsborough with the grey cartridge installed. We bought this house with the shower installed in a converted loft/dormer en-suite, and it has performed fine for 18 months. All of a sudden it appears to have no water pressure and just dribbles out of the shower head. Just prior to this it would run cold, then hot, then cold then hot., it wouldn't balance the flow at all. HELP me please, I don't know if it has a pump or not, it is fed from our Combi boiler.

First if you are on a combi you need a Pink cartridge, however that shouldn’t cause the problem with flow.

Check that the hose and head is clear also check that the hose hasn’t collapsed internally

Regarding the temperature fluctuation or cool running it could be a faulty cartridge however to check this, see if you can get hold of the hot supply pipe before it enters the shower or perhaps as it leaves the boiler.

If when holding this pipe the temperature fluctuates or goes cool then the problem is not with the shower but more likely with the boiler as the shower can only deliver what the boiler sends to it.

Disregard the temperature at the taps as they have a different flow rate.
