Shower cartridge colour essential?

Hi



Could I replace me existing green cartridge, fitted but leaking, with a grey cartridge that I have new as a spare, would it cause functional issues?

The Grey cartridge may have problems coping with the pressures that are on your system.

The shower is leaking, I've checked the o ring etc. - still leaking on re-assembly. The cartridge in my shower is grey, however the plumber says I need a high pressure one (green) as the system (not a combi) will need this. Would it be a problem fitting green where it may require grey?
