Acqualisa Acquavalve 700.51.01 high pressure

ID: 757262295 I have above shower 5-6 years old. It recently gives only very hot water. When I turn off the Hot at my Megaflow Cylinder, there is no Cold water at all. The shower valve has Cold on the Left and Hot on the Right which seems opposite to instillation guide. Could this be responsible for damage to the Cartridge? Would this need and can it be rectified while replacing the Cartridge? I am told Grey is universal but Green is High Pressure Cartridge, which one should my preference? I changed from Gravity Fed System to Megaflow 5-6 years ago but I kept Cold Water Tank in the loft and also the Gravity Fed Hot Water Cylinder on first floor. This system feeds only one pumped digital shower in the house, I was advised to keep it for backup. Can it affect the High Pressure System? Am I better off getting rid of it?

I'm not sure I follow how your shower is supplied however it is designed to work on roughly equal pressures so both the hot and cold supplied from the attic tank or hot from the Megaflow and cold from the mains.

The hot and cold on top of the valve is confusing however if you hold the inlets you will find that it is hot to the left and cold to the right.

The rule of thumb regarding the cartridge is if it was working OK the stick with what you have however if it is off the tank supply then the grey, also as long as the pressure isn't too high then the Grey will work.

Mr George Thomson, I am very grateful for your information regarding my shower.

1) Yes, on touching the inlet I find hot on the left! The hot supply to the shower is from Megaflow Cylinder which is in a cupboard next to it on the ground floor and the cold is from the sink near by. The Mains Pressure and Megaflow Pressure are between 2-3 bars. Would it still be alright to use Grey Cartridge? OR to Green is likely to be better?

2) The Megaflow Cylinder was installed in 2011/2. I kept the Gravity Fed System to feed one shower (pumped version Mira Magna Digital) on the first floor which was fitted in 2007/8. Rest of the house is on Mains and Megaflow. I wonder if the two systems could interact and reduce efficiency? Am I better off to keep only One system i.e. Mains and Megaflow?

3) Would it be preferable to change the existing Acqualisa Acquavalve Shower to a Digital version?

Thank you kindly. I tried to phone but it’s voice mail only!
