Aquavalve 609 Flow reduced afer cartridge replacement

The thermostatic control cartridge was recently replaced with a grey cartridge. Since then i have noticed a reduced flow rate. My shower is mains fed via a combo boiler, so the hot water pressure is very close to mains pressure. Nothing else has changed since installation. From the web I understand a pink cartridge is the specified cartridge for combi boilers, however I'm almost certain the old cartridge which has been discarded was also grey. 1 Why is my flow reduced? 2 would the cartridge colour make that much difference?

You probably had a low pressure system at one time and later had a combi boiler fitted the cartridge should have been changed when the boiler was fitted, however the Grey cartridge can work haply when the pressures aren't two high and are roughly similar.

i can't think of a reason for the reduced flow, check that all your valves are fully open my other thought is if you have had the boiler serviced recently and it has been set up to the manufacturers tolerances, where when it was installed the installer adjusted it to suit the shower.
