Hose compatibility

Hi. I have just ordered a new white hose adaptor kit part number 241310. One of the lugs burst off when I turned the showeron having just fitted a new after market Bristan shower hose. The hose bore appears narrower than the original model. I don't want this to happen again. Is there a particular bore hose I need to fit to prevent a recurrence? Is this type of failure something you have heard of before?Thanks. Mike

As long as you fit the small end to the adaptor then there should be no problem with the correct hose as shown in the above link. Bistan hoses are a bit different.
