variable pressure and temperature

We have an Aqualisa Hydramax Shower with Thermostatic bar with exposed mixer and flexi head.

When first turned on pressure is very good for a few seconds then drops off. Sometimes when turning to fully cold only a dribble of water is obtained.

If temperature is set to the desired level it gradually gets colder but occasionally gets hotter again for a short while. A new cartridge was fitted 10 months ago by a qualified plumber.Hot water is supplied by a Megaflow 145 CL from a pressured oil fired boiler.

The pressure and temperature in basin and bath taps in the house is good and consistent.

My first thought is that one of the inlet filters are blocked if these are OK then you could have a faulty cartridge.
