Remove concealed shower

How do I remove concealed shower from the wall. It is broken and needs replacing. Do I unscrew it or pull it. Don’t want to attempt either until I know for sure. Thank you

If you are just trying to replace the cartridge it is held in place by 4 screws.

If you want to remove the complete valve that can be very difficult depending on the installation if the installer has left enough room round the valve it is possible to remove it.
