How do you remove the shroud and wall plate?

Hi, I am going to re-tile the bathroom and the shroud and wall plate seem to be well and truly held in place by something. How do the come off the wall? thank you.

Itshould be just a push fit, it may be that someone has silicone it back.

Along thin blade slipped down the back may be able to cut the silicone and solvethe problem, ultimately you can just fit a new cover.
