Aqualisa Harmony handset

We want to remove the handset from the hose and replace but we are having difficulty even when we hold the button and we have tried WD40

The head cartridge should just unscrew however the can be very difficult to remove.

Try placing the head on a bowl of hot water, just the head part not the spray plate this hopefully will expand the head just enough to release the cartridge (Part 3 on the Drawing) If you hold the cartridge in the palm of your hand and turn the shower head this may do it.

The other thing you can try is just popping the head in denture cleaner over night.
