Aqualisa midas 200 thermostatic valve replacement

Hi, jus recieved my replacement cartridge and in the process of removing old thermostatic valve, seems that below the tap assembly is a type of grub screw which is NOT gonna move to extract old valve...any suggestions my friend ??

First you are correct the grub screw needs to be removed before you can remove the cartridge.

To be honest this screw usually comes out without a problem it is a stainless steel grub screw into a brass bush, all I can think of is to pour a few kettles of boiling hot water over the end of the valve and see if the unequal expansion and contraction will help to release it
