No O-ring?

I've just fitted a new cartridge to my Aquamixer (mk1), but I couldn't see any ‘O’ ring at the rear of the body, nor any obvious seating for one. I replaced the cartridge because both the shower head and the base of the mixer control were leaking. The leak from the mixer control still continues, could this be due to a lack of O-ring at the hot water input?

The rear ‘O’ ring at the rear can be difficult to see 9butit will be there inside the round ‘hole’ at the rear of the body, this ringwill have no effect on any leak from the body.

If you have a leak from the body of the valve it is likely thatthe gasket has not been seated properly, or you have the old style body withthe brass inserts in the body and these inserts may have sheared.

If you check these things and still have a problem then canyou send us a couple of photos of where the leak is coming from also a photo ofthe body with the cartridge removed if possible.
