Leaking Aqualisa Digital Quartz shower

I have two of these units, installed 6 years ago one for each of two bathrooms. Both are connected to the same gravity fed hot and cold water supplies.

One works prefectly, the other drips constantly at an increasing rate (now faster than 1 drop per sec) - infuriating at night.

The web is awash with stories on this - solutions seems to vary between complete replacement (outrageous) and seal cleaning and replacement but sounds far from simple.

The water supply is hard, but comes via a softener that had problems for a time (now replaced) so the seals could be scaled.

Any up-to-date advice would be very welcome. (i'm handy enough to do this myself if I have clear advice).

The up to date advice is as far as Aqualisa is concerned is any problems with these and you need to buy a complete new processor.

Also unfortunately Aqualisa will not release any spares for these units.....However...

Aqualisa regard this as a sealed unit, although you can get into it to fix / regrease the seals, however if it is anything other than dripping from the head you basically need a new processer.

The one thing to remember is that the unit has a 5 year guarantee so check how long it has been fitted before going down the road of replacement.
