shower head dripping

'dripping' when not in use
Asked 12 years ago by Anonymous

We are having a problem at the moment with our ticketing systemit is running words together, we have people working on it!!

The leak may caused by the rubber seals inside the mixer unitin the processor.

If you are handy using a philips screwdriver you can removethe cover. (don't forget to turn the water off on the inlet pipes) Open themixed unit by removing the two philip screws that hold the collar in place.

Inside there is a metal disk (this is the mixer) underneathare two washer that fit over two springs when these stick the water continuesto flow.

Remove them by pushing them into the socket they should thenpop out. Once out apply silicone grease reinsert and put everything backtogether

The previous answer suggests the procedure is simpler than it is.

In the older grey units getting at the second philips head screw requires the removal of 3 other phillips head screws that hold the pump and blending solenoid in place. It is then necessary to separate the blending unit from the pump before removing the final phillips head screw.

Not to be undertaken in the dark, cramped and over insulated conditions of most lofts. Take the the whoe unit out and work on it comfort and light.
